EPIC Defined

The Emerging Professionals in Camping (EPIC) Committee met November 12th to begin defining the mission and goals for the group and its members. Karly Taylor took us through a fast paced brainstorming exercise to develop our mission statement.

Our Mission Statement:
EPIC supports confident emerging camp professionals by strengthening networks, providing training and cultivating resources to foster the development of a career that contributes to the development of others.

Who can join:
EPIC will be open to young, new and veteran professionals. Anyone who is interested in issues, career development and other opportunities for emerging professionals is welcome to participate.

We are also planning for future networking and educational events including our kick-off event at the 2008 Southwest Camping Conference. The gathering will introduce EPIC to members of the camp community and be the first chance for you to join this new program.
