As the Summer Camping Season begins to approach quickly come join other camp and youth development professionals at an up and coming ROCK group Gathering in the DFW area.
Rock Groups (Regional Organized Camp Kindred’s) are informal gatherings for networking, socializing and shared discussion. We hope you can join us for conversation and good pizza from Campania Pizza who was voted 2008’s Best Independent Pizzeria in the US by Pizza Today magazine and Named one of the Ten Best New Restaurants in Dallas by D Magazine on April 13 sponsored by EPIC .

2010 SWCC Leadership Summit
Tell us what issues you believe are having significant impact on our camp community...
On Thursday, during the 2010 Southwest Camp Conference, a leadership summit has been scheduled. The "Smore Stuff to Talk About" Leadership Summit is a think tank and discussion forum where we will work together to address the challenges and the opportunities that have an impact on the camp industry today and into the future.
Even if you do not plan to attend the conference or the leadership summit, we need to hear from you about the issues that you believe are having significant impact on our camp community. Regardless of your role or tenure in camp, your feedback is crucial. Information provided here will be utilized to complete the program for the summit and to develop educational materials from the summit. We only need a few minutes of your time.

ACA Texoma EPIC Retreat Scheduled
ACA Texoma EPIC Retreat
Camp Summit in Argyle, Texas
November 2-3rd, 2009.
The ACA Texoma EPIC (Emerging Professionals in Camping) Committee, invites those new to professional camping, or those looking to join the profession, to attend this retreat designed uniquely for you! Sessions will focus on program best practices, common camp struggles, recruiting campers and staff, and more. Most importantly, the retreat will provide opportunities to meet and have fun with other emerging camping professionals!
Registration will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday November 2nd and the conference will conclude with lunch “on-the-go” at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday November 3rd. The cost to attend is $25. All meals will be provided. Please plan to bring linens.

Year-Round Education and School Calendars: Stay Informed and Join the Dialogue
ACA supports year-round educational opportunities and actively supports the extension of organized camp experiences to all children. While the national debate around education reform continues, ACA is proactively finding ways to promote our position that the organized camp experience is a vital component in the development and education of the whole child.
